emphatically reject and condemn all forms of violence, abuse, neglect, and intimate partner violence (IPV), regardless of the gender or identity of the victim or perpetrator. We call upon the South African government, including the departments of health, justice, finance, and education, as well as law enforcement agencies, to swiftly implement robust socio-economic and educational policies to address this crisis urgently. We assert that the time for rhetoric has passed, and we demand immediate and tangible results from the government. The safety and well-being of our citizens depend on it.
