New assisted suicide bill in House of Lords a “profound threat” to vulnerable people in the UK
The recent introduction of a new assisted suicide bill in the House of Lords represents a profound threat to vulnerable individuals in the UK. As the Chairman of The Official Fathers 4 Justice South Africa, I am compelled to voice my staunch opposition to this legislation, which must be eradicated for several compelling reasons.
Firstly, assisted suicide as already in effect in Canada with devastating consequences, and the proposed bill currently before the House of Lords, has absolutely nothing to do with, human dignity, humanity, emotional, mental, physical, or psychological well-being, humility for your fellow, man, compassion, or genuine care for individuals.
Instead, it signals that the government views people as disposable, deeming their lives unworthy if they happen to be suffering, even temporarily, from depression or other mental or physical health issues. This bill does not embody concern, compassion, or love; rather, for our fellow humans, it embodies a callous chilling disregard for human life.
The normalization and glorification of assisted suicide by the government can only be seen as a move towards the normalization, endorsement, and acceptance of mass extermination or more specifically genocide of its own people. This legislation is similar and is dangerously reminiscent of the destructive ideologies that have sought to undermine and dismantle the family unit, the very bedrock of our society. We have witnessed how these narratives have taken root and gained traction in other parts of the world, notably Canada, where the catastrophic effects are already evident.
Canada, where assisted suicide is being conducted on an alarming scale, serves as a grim warning. Despite a temporary moratorium, it appears to have returned vigorously, and now Britain is poised to follow this perilous path.
This abhorrent practice is the same as the distressing trend of reassignment medical procedures, which originated in part from Canada and has had dire repercussions for children and families globally. In South Africa, we see our children targeted through the incompetent BELLA Bill. Those who engaged with the BELLA Bill which openly targets our children with age-inappropriate sex education and wants to indoctrinate our children into fake biology and medical falsehood are painfully aware of the ongoing legal backlash in the UK and the USA, where young adults who were surgically and chemically abused are now holding governments, hospitals, surgeons, and pharmaceutical companies accountable.
The normalization of gender reassignment surgeries and treatments is based on unscientific, falsified psychological and medical evidence and facts. The medical and chemical abuse, as well as the so-called psychological care, deviate from the foundational medical principle of “first do no harm.” Instead of compassion, we are witnessing young adults who were chemically, medically, surgically, and psychologically abused, now living with the devastating consequences of these irreversible procedures for the rest of their lives.
Parents are bullied and intimidated—both legally and psychologically—by government and legislative and fake medical practitioners’ tactics that push for these procedures. Children who were manipulated into these treatments five or six years ago are now coming forward in their early to mid-20s, stating that they did not understand the ramifications and were unable to give informed consent due to the high degree of psychological intimidation, manipulation and abuse they and their parents endured.
This issue is paralleled by the push for assisted suicide, which lacks true compassion. Unlike the fake reassignment surgery, once assisted suicide individuals are deceased, they will not be able to speak out against the abuses they suffered. Just like reassignment surgery and chemical castration, the procedure is completely irreversible. This normalization of assisted suicide is another step toward widespread psychological, surgical, and medical abuse by governments targeting vulnerable population groups. The poor, the aged, the sick, and those with different political, ethnic, religious, or cultural persuasions are at risk of being coerced in the beginning and ultimately and inevitably forced by the barrel of the gun into these procedures.
The marketing of gender transition procedures targeted vulnerable, uninformed, and uneducated young children, teenagers, and parents, who were unaware of the complexity and severity of these treatments. This same methodology will be used to target large groups of people deemed undesirable by these sycophants in power. Assisted suicide is being positioned as a compassionate choice, but it serves as an additional tool for further abuse and control.
The spread of assisted suicide legislation to South Africa is only a matter of time if it is not stopped in its tracks. As with all things stupid our South African government loves following this kind of insanity with wanton abandon.
While genuine assisted suicide should be reserved for those suffering unimaginably pain and suffering, that are beyond any known medical treatment, even this concept must be approached with extreme caution and skepticism. The potential for abuse is patently evident, one must look no further than the tangible results in Canada and the irreversible consequences demand that we tread very carefully.
We urge everyone to conduct their own research, educate themselves on this critical issue, and come to their own informed conclusions. This bill is not merely a legislative matter; it is a moral and ethical crisis that threatens the very fabric of our global society.
