Ex and child visitation |
|
I am the daddy of a 5year old princess, who i love unconditionally. I have been divorced for over a year. I have beem unemployed for over a year. My ex demands monthly maintenance increases in return for seeing my child and there is nothing i can do about it. If i dont pay what she demands she takes away precious time from me and my daughter together [these visitations were based upon a verbal agreement so i have no legal leg to stand on to get these visits back] I try my best to pay the money that she demands in return for time with my little girl. I believe that by not having the time that my daugter and i used to have together will impact her negatively as we are incredibly close. I am on every type of recruitment and job vacancy mailing list and try daily to get employed which my ex is aware of. I am not in a position to go to lawyers to try and fight for time with her. I am a good and devoted father at my wits end. Can anyone help?

If you have no income you may knock on the door of legal aid. You may also give the clerk of the childrens court (at the magistrates court) a visit in accordance with the new childens law. Maintanace and access has no connection and what she is doing is illegal and not in the childs best interest.
