Cancellation of Adoption |
|
I married a woman who had a daughter from another man, that man is deceased. I adopted the daughter when I married the woman for her own protection. I have since divorced the woman but still have to pay maintenance, school fees and medical for the daughter. I have not seen the daughter for six months as she is too busy with boyfriends and going out. The problems that I have had with her has made me right her off. The daughter does not want to come and see me either as I have moved on with my life and found someone else. Is there any way I can have the adoption changed as I don,t want to continue paying for services that I am not recieving, I don,t want to pay for a child that isnt biologically mine................. please help.

You adopted the child and she is now legally your dependent. You cannot walk away from your obligations. The only way is to approach a court, but on what grounds? Because you have chsen to move on with your life and new woman, surely the child cannot be expected to stop eating.
